Final Exam - Fall 1999

This is a list of topics that are covered on the Final Exam.  This list is not exhaustive; it merely indicates that the given topics are on the exam. 

Basic HEX and BINARY arithmetic

Memory: Virtual, Bank Switched, circuits for using Memory Enable

Port I/O vs. DMA I/O

Basic Intel Machine Architecture and Registers

Basic Intel Assembler Programming

Intel DEBUG DUMP analysis (program tracing)

Hardware and Software Interrupt tracing

Disk DUMP Analysis: Boot Sector, Directory entries

There is nothing related to the LMC  or LMC programming on the exam.  (You know how to use a real assembler and real machine now!)
